Kathy, I think this is your best France post yet. I can relate to stick shifts / hills and lack of air conditioning. I had one when I moved to Roanoke and there were places I hated to drive because of the slopes at the stop signs. I would also take a shower before work in the morning and be full of sweat before I got there. That car, as much as I loved it – it was my first brand new car, lasted only that first summer.

I AM LOOKING TO BUY A BRAND NEW CAR, AND AM LOOKING AT THE MAZDA 3 AND THE SCION TC CURRENTLY. AS OF NOW I AM DRIVING A '03 MAZDA PROTEGE. Never really liked Toyota anyways but I voted for “I'll never buy a Toyota”. We've owned a Toyota Cressida back in the early 90s and a Camry Wagon in the 80s. Those were great cars but as time went on, the quality hasn't been up to what it used to be as seen in the recent cost cutting measures. Test drove a new Camry at the dealer before the recall and it just felt real cheap and the car not being really well built. Lose plastics is my biggest pet peeve in a brand new car. The recent recall just puts the icing on the cake for me.

Many car audio companies make a habit of advertising completely unrealistic claims.
There is no 6.5 that's going to have usable output at 25hz. Even a 6.5" "subwoofer" in an enclosure tuned low would have very little chance of doing much that low.
Coincidentally I own the Lanzar opti65 woofers which are basically clones of those PA's (soundstream has a clone as well — they are knock off's of a high end morel driver). They are very loud, and can handle a LOT of power for a 6.5, but I would not say they work at a significantly lower frequency than any other quality 6.5.
